DVC’s new Doorway to Dreams sales center will have its grand opening on August 4th at the Woodfield Mall in suburban Chicago. This sales facility represents DVC’s first attempt to market Vacation Club ownership outside of a Disney venue (hotel, cruise ship, theme park, etc.) None other than Mickey Mouse will be on hand for the grand opening ceremony.
Last week DVC unveiled revisions to the website DVCMember.com. This facelift had been mentioned in a recent issue of the Vacation Magic newsletter. Additionally the June Vacation Magic Email Update was billed as the final issue of that publication, hinting that the website revisions were not far away.
In a survey of 4,841 frequent Walt Disney World guests conducted by Zagat Research, respondents gave Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge the highest marks of any Disney-owned resort. The survey was conducted in conjunction with the publication of Zagat’s first WDW guidebook.
Disney is giving folks another way to test-drive DVC in the form of the Animal Kingdom Villas Sweepstakes.
This summer DVC will open a preview center in Chicago Illinois. The sales center will include, among other things, a model of the two bedroom villas being constructed at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas.
