In June 2015, sales for Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows sold 107,067 points, an increase of 79.2% compared to the previous month. Due to Polynesian’s surge in sales, overall direct sales of Disney Vacation Club points in June increased 26.0% to 213,361 points.
The latest direct purchase offer for points at Aulani, Disney Vacation Club Villas can save buyers more than 18% on their purchase. But a substantial investment is required in order to reach that level of discount.
The shift in Disney Vacation Development’s marketing focus to Disney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows and away from the Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is reflected in this month’s direct sales data. In May 2015, sales for the Polynesian jumped 34.0% compared to the previous month, but sales for the Grand Floridian declined by 61.1%. Overall, direct sales in May dropped to 169,377 points, 24.5% less than in April 2015 when 224,472 points were sold.
