Increases in property appraisals and millage rates by Orange County, Florida taxing authorities are expected to result in shortfalls in the ad valorem tax amounts collected for 2024 for all but two of the Disney Vacation Club resorts located at Walt Disney World.

Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa

For the eleventh consecutive month, Disney’s Riviera Resort led all Disney Vacation Club properties in direct sales for September 2024.  In second place was a resort that hadn’t claimed that spot in almost three and a half years.

In this round of pricing, Disney Vacation Club eliminated the "Welcome Home" discount but mostly made up for the difference with greater per-point incentives.

The Florida court's ruling that the Orange County Appraisers office improperly valued one Disney resort could lead to millions in tax refunds. 

The three newest Disney Vacation Club resorts took a step back from their sales in July 2024, but three legacy resorts had their best sales in more than a year.

Disney's Riviera Resort

Sales incentives introduced in late June seem to be having a positive affect on direct sales of Disney Vacation Club points.  Six DVC resorts had their best sales in calendar year 2024, including four resorts that recorded their best sales in over a year.
