Guests currently staying at Walt Disney World resorts received notification that additional cable television channels will soon be available.
During the December 2011 Condo Association meeting, Disney Vacation Club representatives announced that a number of new cable TV channels would soon be available. The list of new additions revealed at the member meeting was limited to Fox News, History Channel and Food Network. However, it appears Disney has much more substantial additions planned.
Notices given to current Disney resort guests list the following additions to the cable TV lineup:
- AMC
- Biography
- Bravo
- Discovery Channel
- Food Network
- Fox News
- HGTV
- History Channel
- National Geographic
- SyFy
- TBS
- TLC
- TNT
- Travel Channel
- TV Land
Additional channels may also be available.
The roll-out was scheduled to begin on Friday January 13 but was delayed for unspecified reasons. The new channels should be implemented at Walt Disney World resorts in the near future.
