Somewhat abruptly, Disney has announced that the main pool at Disney's BoardWalk Inn & Villas will close for maintenance this coming week.
The Luna Park pool is scheduled to be closed from Monday, October 25 through Saturday, October 30, 2010. During this period BoardWalk guests are permitted to use the Stormalong Bay pool at Disney's Yacht and Beach Club Resorts. Shuttle service will be provided between the two resorts for BoardWalk guests who do not wish to walk.

Shame this didn't happen when were staying at BWV earlier this month. We haven't been to SAB since 1996.

We are staying at BWV March 9-12 next year and a got a letter last month stating the Luna Park Water slide would be closed while we are there. The Keister Coaster will be closed starting Feb 7 and should reopen in mid-March. The pool will be open during this time, just the slide is shut down. We get to use Stormalong Bay also and are VERY excited. Hope it is not too cold then.

We got the same notice. The slide is being shut down but pool will be open. Also, we were invited to use other two pools on the property or SAB pool. I think anyone with a booked vacation got this notice about a month ago. We will be there during Presidents' Week in February. Not a problem for us. We're not laying in the sun, swim with lots of strangers type people.
