In September 2018, 155,876 Disney Vacation Club points were sold for the 10 resorts located at Walt Disney World.

Direct sales normally fluctuate over time, often changing by 20% or 30% from month to month. In the last few months sales have slowed down. During the three months ending September 2018 DVC recorded 467,683 points in sales, the lowest quarterly total since 382,734 points were sold in the quarter ending December 2016. For the first seven months of 2018, sales in 2018 were ahead of sales for the comparable period in 2017 by 2.2%. However, through September sales for calendar year 2018 are now down 1.9% compared to 2017.

Sales September 2018

Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge — Overall, sales might be experiencing a slow period but sales for Copper Creek continue at a quick pace. In September, 129,331 points were sold for the resort. Disney has now sold 1,763,967 points for Copper Creek, which is 53.1% of the resort’s 3.321,966 total points.

September marks the ninth consecutive month that sales for Copper Creek topped the 100,000-point plateau. In those nine months, it has averaged 139,104 points in monthly sales. Even though Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows also had a streak of nine consecutive months when it topped the 100,000-point mark, the Polynesian never averaged more than 133,967 points in monthly sales during any nine-month period.

Assuming sales continue at the current rate, it will take Copper Creek less than 12 months to be completely sold out. Even if future sales slow to 100,000 points a month, Copper Creek would still sell out before the end of 2019.

On September 20, 2018, Disney declared 12 more vacation homes for the DVC inventory at Copper Creek. It now has 123 of its 184 vacation homes declared for the DVC inventory. In terms of points, this latest declaration is the equivalent of 252,835 DVC points. The DVC inventory now accounts for 2,461,845 points, or 74.1% of Copper Creek’s 3,321,220 total points.

The sales data includes all 10 DVC resorts at Walt Disney World, as well as Disney's Vero Beach Resort, Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort, and Aulani, Disney Vacation Club Villas. Point sales data is not available for the Villas at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel. The data is compiled from deeds filed by Disney Vacation Development and recorded with the Orange County (FL) Comptroller, the Indian River County (FL) Clerk of Court, and the Beaufort County (SC) Register of Deeds.
