First Dates Revealed for Extended Evening Hours

Beginning in October 2021, the new late night perk offers 2 hours of exclusive theme park time, but only to guests staying at Disney Deluxe and Disney Vacation Club resorts. 

Epcot

Beginning in October 2021, Walt Disney World will introduce Extended Evening Hours. Similar late night Extra Magic Hours, parks stay open beyond the posted closing time for a select group of guests. This time, the select group includes only those staying at Disney Deluxe resorts--like Disney's Contemporary Resort and Disney's Polynesian Village Resort--and those staying at Deluxe Villa Resorts which is another term used for the DVC properties. 

The Walt Disney World operating calendar has been updated through mid-October. The schedule reflects two Extended Evening Hours events per week, one at Magic Kingdom and a second at EPCOT. In each case, the parks will remain open an additional two hours for eligible guests.



The current schedule is as follows:

  • Monday October 4 - EPCOT 10pm to midnight
  • Wednesday October 6 - Magic Kingdom 9pm to 11pm
  • Monday October 11 - EPCOT 10pm to midnight
  • Wednesday October 13 - Magic Kingdom 9pm to 11pm

No events have been announced for Disney's Animal Kingdom or Disney's Hollywood Studios

Paid theme park admission is required in order to partcipate. Guests must have Disney Park Pass reservations in order to enter a theme park. However, guests with Annual Passes or park hopper tickets could visit another theme park earlier in the day and "hop" to the Extended Evening Hours park after 2:00 pm. 

Extended Evening Hours is billed as a perk of Walt Disney World's 50th anniversary celebration. Additional dates will be revealed as theme park schedules are updated. No specific end date has been announced.
