Walt Disney World has confirmed that new coaster TRON Lightcycle / Run is set to officially open to the public on April 4, 2023. Disney also revealed that eligible Disney Vacation Club members and Annual Passholders would be given opportunities to preview the ride before its grand opening. No specifics were offered.

Back in April 2022, members were given multiple opportunities to preview Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. Reservations were required, with Disney using its virtual queue system to accept sign-ups on select dates for both DVC members and Passholders.

The preview will almost certainly be limited to DVC owners who qualify for Membership Magic, which currently requires ownership of at least 150 points purchased directly from DVC. Older members may be grandfathered at lower purchase levels.

TRON Lightcycle / Run was announced as far back as 2017 and expected to open in 2021 to coincide with Walt Disney World's 50th anniversary celebration. Construction was delayed by the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as Disney's desire to stagger new attraction openings. Both Cosmic Rewind and Remy's Ratatouille Adventure were delayed by months as Disney sought to avoid an opening during periods when theme park capacity was heavily impacted by the pandemic.
