Potrock to oversee Golden Oak

Other Timeshare Info

Disney Vacation Club senior Vice President Ken Potrock is set to add another Orlando-area development to his resume.

The Orlando Sentinel is reporting that Potrock will oversee sales and marketing for the Golden Oak housing development.

Golden Oak is Disney's attempt at luxury housing adjacent to Walt Disney World.  Prices for a home in Golden Oak reportedly start at $1.8 million along with association fees and other annual dues costing upward of $25,000.  The entire development has room for as many as 450 homes.

The Golden Oak project was originally revealed as far back as 2007 and seemingly derailed by the subsequent recession and housing crisis.  The first homes opened in 2011.  Disney has not revealed any information regarding sales.

Golden Oak sits on property which was formerly home to the Eagle Pines golf course.  Four Seasons Resort Orlando was constructed on neighboring property.  The former Osprey Ridge golf course was also absorbed into the development and currently operates as Tranquilo Golf Club at Four Seasons Resort Orlando.

According to the Sentinel, Golden Oak was previously helmed by Disney executives out of California.

Potrock also oversees the Adventures by Disney travel business.
