Monitor DVC villa availability with DVCapp.com

General DVC News

An inventive Disney Vacation Club member has developed a website to monitor room availability and send email notifications when vacancies appear.

The website DVCapp.com sports a simplistic design but could prove invaluable to Disney Vacation Club members.  One of the shortcomings of DVC's online booking feature at DVCMember.com is its inability to search multiple destinations at a time.  Members must enter a single resort, villa size and view, along with desired travel dates.  Results are displayed for that single inquiry, along with 3 or 4 system-generated alternatives.

DVCapp.com can query dozens of different resort/room combinations--or every single option available--in a single search.

Additionally, those who register on the DVCapp.com website can set-up ongoing searches which will send an email notification when a previously unavailable room opens-up.

Disney Vacation Club does have its own waitlist program which places members on a list to automatically book desired accommodations should vacancies appear.  However the waitlist process is limited to just two ongoing searches per member and the process does not run in real-time.  Openings created by reservation cancellations are often available on DVCMember.com for several hours before the waitlist process attempts to match the vacancies with member requests.

At this time, DVCapp.com only supports dates within 7 months of the desired arrival.  Room data reported by DVCapp.com is refreshed every few hours--it does not perform reatime searches of DVC resort availability.  Registration is required in order to use some of the more advanced features.

DVCapp.com is not affiliated with DVCNews.com, Disney Vacation Club or The Walt Disney Company
