When Moonlight Magic reservations for Disney's Typhoon Lagoon expands at 9am Eastern on Thursday, May 3, nobody is quite sure what we will find.
Two weeks ago, Disney Vacation Club owners with confirmed hotel reservations were able to begin booking the Moonlight Magic dates in May and June 2018. After the expected wave of server errors, availability seemingly filled in record time. Before noon, members were already receving messages that the event had filled to capacity.
That would suggest no remaining availability for members who are not staying at Walt Disney World resorts, right?
Maybe, maybe not.
Statements made by Disney Vacation Club reps suggest that some capacity may have been held back for this second booking period. As the booking time approaches, the website still sports a countdown clock, suggesting that members return at 9am on 5/3 to secure a reservation.
Anyone hoping to book the events scheduled for May 30 and June 11, 2018 is encouraged to visit the booking page and attempt to make a reservation. That includes members with hotel reservations who missed out the first time and those not staying on property during the events. DVC resort guests can book the event for their entire party, up to the maximum capacity of their villa. Members not staying at a resort can book for themselves and up to 5 guests.
