One Less Pool Hopping Destination in Fall 2018

Member Benefits and Perks

Refurbishment work at a Walt Disney World resort will give Disney Vacation Club members fewer pool hopping options throughout the fall.

Coronado Springs Pool

The main pool complex at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort is expected to close on September 4, 2018 for renovations. The closure includes the Lost City of Cibola Pool, Lost City of Cibola Kiddie Pool, Jaguar Slide, Dig Site Spa, Iguana Arcade and Siestas Cantina pool bar.

Most of these amenities are expected to return to service by December 13, 2018. Siestas Cantina will be closed a bit longer, with a scheduled reopening on January 6, 2019.

This work is part of a multi-year expansion of Coronado Springs which includes construction of new guest rooms and dining options.

During non-blockout periods, Disney Vacation Club members staying at Walt Disney World are permitted to "pool hop" to a number of resorts, even though they are not registered guests.  Among the resorts to which pool hopping is permitted are Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Disney's BoardWalk Inn & Villas and Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort
