Perhaps there were not enough Disney Vacation Club members wiling to spend $225 per person for dinner with Darth Vader.
The Star Wars: Galactic Gathering scheduled for April 10 at Epcot's World Showplace Pavilion has been cancelled. A message on the event website reads:
Due to a change in our intergalactic entertainment offerings, Star Wars: Galactic Gathering has been cancelled. We apologize for the inconvenience and invite you to continue checking back for other special Member events and offerings.
The Galactic Gathering was to provide members with a buffet dinner, DJ dance party and unique character meet & greet opportunities at a rate of $210 per person for ages 3-20 and $225 for ages 21 and up. No makeup date or replacement event has been announced.
