Mizner's Lounge closed for refurbishment earlier this month, but the work is far more substantial than applying a fresh coat of paint.
The Disney Parks Blog has revealed that the lounge at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa will be enhanced with new decor inspired by the classic tale "Beauty and the Beast." In all, four unique designs will be incorporated within the redesign: The bar will draw its inspiration from Belle's ball gown and the Beast's magical rose; the library features a French design and subtle appearances by the Beast's friends; the garden room evokes the film's magical forest while the outdoor patio is designed to resemble Beast's terrace.
No opening date has been revealed but the renovation was slated to run into the spring of 2020.
Elsewhere at the Grand Floridian, a new Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is planned for the former location of the Ivy Trellis Salon. This will be the third location of the popular salon, joining others located in the Magic Kingdom and Disney Springs. Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is scheduled to open in the summer of 2019.
