The Ample Hills Creamery location on Disney's BoardWalk will apparently not reopen and a Disney Springs location has been scuttled.

WDW News Today is reporting that the two Ample Hills Creamery locations at Walt Disney World will not reopen from the spring 2020 COVID-19 closure. The BoardWalk location had been operating since 2016, expanding into space that was formerly the arcade and retail store for the neighboring ESPN Club. A second location had been announced for Disney Springs' West Side

The New York-based ice cream label was reportedly courted Walt Disney Company Executive Chairman Bob Iger. The company was beset by financial problems and filed for bankruptcy shortly before the viral shutdown in March.

WDWNT retweeted a post from the Ample Hills founders (above), apparently confirming the news.

Nearby Beaches & Cream Soda Shop at Disney's Yacht & Beach Club Resort recently underwent an expansion, and continues to provide walk-up ice cream service. A variety of items are available "to go", including hand dipped ice cream cones, shakes and floats.
