Shutters, Sonya's and Bleachers Bar & Grill are gone for good. In their place will rise a new series of dining alternatives at Disney's Vero Beach Resort which are more in tune with current guest expectations.

The latest issue of Disney Files Magazine provides new details on the reconfigured dining options at Disney Vacation Club's Atlantic coast property. The space formerly occuped by Shutters will soon re-emerge as Wind and Waves Grill. This table service dining location will serve breakfast and dinner in a "casually elegant" setting. The menu will focus on sustainable cuisine including local seafood.
Wind and Waves Grill will feature an open kitchen and flexible dining space which can be reconfigured to support large groups and parties.
The former Sonya's is being transformed into Wind and Waves Market, a quick service dining alternative with everything from pre-packaged items to freshly prepared dishes. The all-day dining menu will include breakfast sandwiches, pastries, hot and cold cereals, deli sandwiches, and fast food favorites like hamburgers and hot dogs. Meals can be enjoyed on the adjacent pool deck or taken "to-go."
Grocery items will be relocated to Wind and Waves Market with an expanded selection.
The former Bleachers Bar & Grill will return as Wind and Waves Bar, featuring craft beers, signature cocktails and bar-side snacks.
Renovations on the restaurants space are already under way with an estimated completion in early fall 2016. Guest room updates are also proceeding at the property, with work on the next wave of villas and Beach Cottages slated to begin in November.
