After some delays, the new dining facilities are now open at Disney's Vero Beach Resort. Disney Vacation Club members look to pay less than menu prices.
Sonya's and Shutters are now a part of Disney history. The two restaurant staples at Vero Beach have been combined into a multipurpose facility featuring quick service dining, table servicing dining and cocktails.
Wind & Waves Grill offers table service dining during breakfast and dinner hours. DVC members can save 20% on their orders at the Grill. Some exclusions do apply. Notably, the discount is not offered for any of their unique dining experiences (character meals, Sunday Brunch or Seafood Buffet.) Also there is no discount available on carry out orders.
Website VeroNews.com recently reviewed the new cuisine at Wind & Waves Grill, giving it favorable marks.
The Disney Parks Blog provided an overview of the Vero Beach Resort dining overhaul. Other options include the Wind & Waves Market with an all-day menu of quick service entrees plus grab-and-go items, and the poolside Wind & Waves Bar. No member discounts are provided at either the Market or Bar.
Note that all Disney Vacation Club member discounts are subject to blackout dates and modifications. A DVC member card and photo ID must be presented in order to receive discounts.
