Disney Vacation Club has temporarily increased its discount for point purchases at Disney's Riviera Resort, while adding an incentive for Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort.
Beginning November 28, current members adding 150 or more points for Disney's Riviera Resort will save an additional $1000 off the total purchase. The incentive is fixed at $1000 per contract and does not increase with a larger add-on purchase. The $1000 credit is combined with the current per-point discounts announced at the end of October. A member adding 150 points will save a total of $3550 or $23.67 per point. With a base price of $217 per point, the incentives lower the effective per-point rate to about $193 each. Buyers wishing to take advantage of Magical Beginnings can sell back their first year's points for a credit of $20 each, lowering the net buy-in to about $173 per point.
See our prior coverage for additional details regarding the current incentives for Riviera. This $1000 add-on incentive comes in addition to the rates previously disclosed. It is not immediately clear if this offer also applies to first time buyers.
Meanwhile, DVC has also launched an incentive for Saratoga Springs points. Both current and prospective members can save $20 per point off the standard price of $205 each, lowering the effective rate to just $185 each. This rate applies to purchases of 150 or more points for both current and first-time buyers.
