Disney Vacation Club has revealed that the 2016 S.S. Member Cruise will sail in September 2016 from a port never before offered as a member exclusive.
The 2016 members-only cruise will depart from New York City and visit the city of Halifax, Nova Scotia. Aboard the Disney Magic, members will depart on September 28, 2016 for a 4-night journey which includes 2 days at sea to enjoy all of the amenities available on the luxurious Disney cruise ship.
The cruise promises a wide range of exclusive experiences and special guests available only on a members-only voyage.
Costs start at 220 Reservation Points per adult or $1,543 cash based on double occupancy for a Category 11C Standard Inside Stateroom. The $95 booking fee typically applied to Disney Cruise Line voyages booked with DVC points is waived.

The point cost for this member-exclusive trip is noticably higher than other comparable itineraries. Disney Cruise Line is offering a 5-night Canadian cruise departing from New York City on October 2, 2016. According to the published point charts, rates for this voyage start at 154 points per adult (double occupancy) for a Category 11 cabin.
Note that Disney Vacation Club points purchased resale after March 21, 2011 are not eligible for use toward any Disney Cruise Line trips including the S.S. Member Cruise.
Reservations will be acceptepted via telephone only beginning at 9:00am eastern on November 15, 2015. Member wishing to book should have their Member ID Number, method of payment (if applicable) and personal information on all individuals who will be cruising (name, address, telephone number, DOB, nationality.) Callers are advised to be ready with multiple stateroom categories. All cabins are subject to availability and many will fill-up quickly. Expect possible long wait times due to demand for the member cruise.
