Disney Vacation Club's new Gateway to Discovery preview center is now open, with additional space for DVC owners set to debut later this spring.
Located in the former home of Disney Springs' Alex & Ani store, Disney Vacation Club has introduced a new "Gateway to Discovery" store. According to travel journalist Brook Geiger McDonald, the space is designed as "an interactive portal to discover new vacation destinations with Disney Vacation Club. The building features largely an open space with a globe dominating the center and artwork representing many of the destinations available through DVC.
Plans call for additional facilities to be added on the second floor for "members and guests." The expansion will open later this spring.
This is not the additional member lounge which was announced back in January. DVC has yet to reveal a location or opening timeframe for the new lounge, only that construction will begin sometime in 2024.
DVC members currently have access to three other exclusive lounges located in EPCOT's Imagination Pavilion, on the top floor of Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort, as well as Star View Station in Disneyland's Tomorrowland.
