Another Disney Vacation Club resort will be receiving the popular Murphy Beds during its upcoming guest room refurbishment.
Refurbished room at Disney's Beach Club Villas
A brief blub in the latest issue of Disney Files Magazine confirms that rooms at Disney's Vero Beach Resort will be updated with the pull-down convertible sofa beds during its forthcoming refurbishment:
Refurbishment of the resort's villas is underway and will continue in waves through 2024, with crews replacing bedding and draperies, reupholstering seating and, by popular demand, adding over-the-wall beds.
Several years ago, Disney Vacation Club committed to bringing these beds to most resorts during their next refurbishment. However, modifications to this plan have been made on a case-by-case basis. Rooms at Aulani, Disney Vacation Club Villas did not receive the upgrade in 2021, perhaps due to the unique layout of the rooms. Additionally, some upper floor rooms at Boulder Ridge Villas at Disney's Wilderness Lodge retained the traditional pull-out sofa bed because the ceiling line would not accommodate the taller wall units.
Vero Beach Deluxe Studio
Villas at Vero Beach, the second Disney Vacation Club property, have a somewhat unique layout which may pose challenges to installing the new beds. Additional windows in some rooms would seemingly require changes to the furniture layout in order to accommodate the wall mounted units. Although DVC has installed the pull down beds in all room types, including Deluxe Studio, One and Two Bedroom villas, there is no guarantee that all Vero rooms will be updated.
Officially the guest room refurbishment is listed as concluding in January 2024 though dates are subject to change.
