Ft Wilderness Cabins

Disney recently declared 33 additional cabins at The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort, more than doubling the number of cabins that Disney Vacation Club members can book using points.

On April 3, 2024, Disney declared sections 2A, 2B, 13A, 13B, and 21 for the Use Plan at The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort. These sections contain 33 cabins, bringing the number of cabins declared for DVC’s newest resort to 63. DVC members will be able to book using points up to 63 cabins on any given Use Day. There are still another 300 cabins that have not yet been declared. Disney will be able to use these 300 cabins for cash rentals or any other purpose it desires.

The declaration came about 3 weeks before 7-month reservations opened to all qualifying Disney Vacation Club points on April 23.

The 33 newly declared cabins are on Cedar Creek in Fort Wilderness and are numbered 2501 to 2533. Eight of the 33 cabins (2511, 2512, 2514, 2516, 2523, 2524, 2525, and 2526) are ADA compliant with access ramps and modified bathroom and kitchen areas. These units in Loop 2500 are actually the first group set to be made available to guests arriving when the Disney Vacation Club component opens on July 1, 2024.

According to the documentation submitted by Disney, the 33 cabins account for 257,961 DVC points. That means each cabin is allotted 7,817 points. When it made the initial declaration for the Cabins in February 2024, it stated the 30 initially declared cabins accounted for 229,820 points, which would mean that each cabin is allotted 7,660.67 points. We do not yet have an explanation for this discrepancy.
