Join us for an appreciation of the Disney Vacation Club members-only lounge at Disneyland, which turns one year old today.
On April 19, 2023, Disney Vacation Club opened just its second member lounge located in a Disney theme park. Star View Station - a Member Lounge is situated on the second floor of Star Wars Launch Bay.
The lounge follows a similar formula as the original DVC lounge which opened in 2016 at EPCOT's Imagination Pavilion. It offers members a comfortable place to relax, while recharging those electronic devices and enjoying some complimentary soft drinks and a snack.
There are DVC informational videos playing on screens throughout, and Disney cast members on hand to help members with any questions.
The lounge also addresses at least one complaint regarding the Florida lounge: restrooms! It's decorated with a variety of props from the history of Tomorrowland.
Members curious about The Villas at Disneyland Hotel can check out a detailed scale model. It showcases the building and surrounding amenities including the new Palette Pool and Steamboat Willie Splash Pad.
The outdoor deck provides additional seating and a great photo spot high above Tomorrowland.
The lounge is open from 11am to 6pm most days. Disney Vacation Club owners must qualify for Membership Extras in order to visit. The same is true for both the EPCOT lounge and Top of the World Lounge - a Villain's Lair located at Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort.
Earlier this year, Disney revealed plans to add another DVC lounge somewhere at Walt Disney World. Rumors point toward a site in the Magic Kingdom's Frontierland, however Disney has yet to confirm or provide an opening timeline.
