The Disney Vacation Club annual meeting kicks-off from the convention center at Disney's Contemporary Resort today at 2pm eastern. DVCNews will be on hand Tweeting live coverage as the meeting occurs. Expect blow-by-blow text updates along with the occasional photograph.
Much of the annual meeting is a scripted affair where budgets are approved, audits are presented and other formalities addressed. However, in recent years DVC has used the meeting as a forum for communicating information regarding upcoming refurbishments and new resort projects.
It would not be surprising if Disney presents some additional details regarding its expansion project at Disney's Wilderness Lodge. Additionally, 2016 represents the 25th anniversary of Disney Vacation Club so perhaps executives will begin to take the wraps off "surprises" planned throughout the year.
