Disney Vacation Club continues to experiment with unique methods of reaching new customers.  In June they will host a series of webcasts to discuss the benefits of Disney Vacation Club ownership.

The Walt Disney Company reported its FY 2009 second quarter earnings on Tuesday.  The numbers show a 46% drop in profit from the same period in FY 2008.  The Parks and Resorts division, which includes Disney Vacation Club, was particularly hard-hit with a 50% decline in earnings.

Disney Vacation Club is joining with other timeshare developers in lobbying Florida lawmakers for the ability to sell customers debt-cancellation policies which would relieve them of timeshare liabilities in the event of a job loss.
