One year ago marked the last issue of the DVCNews Yahoo Newsletter and the debut of this website.  Please join me in a quick look back, and a few thanks to some who made this site possible.

Reminder that our September site contest is still under way.  To enter, all you need to do is send us a few details about DVC resort rooms you have visited in years past. 

Complete details are NOT necessary.  As long as you remember the room number and a few specifics about your experience, we'd love to add it to our databases.  What did you like?  What didn't you like?  Was the view good or bad?  Were there any unexpected disturbances?  Did the location prove to be a good one or a bad one?  Was the room handicapped accessible?

All details are welcome.  And if you happen to have a photo taken from the balcony, we'd love to have that, too.  Contest rules additional details can be found HERE.

Several months ago we began an ambitious project to catalog specifications on every Disney Vacation Club guest room.  Recently we completed work on two additional resorts--Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas and Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort --meaning that we now have seven of the eight DVC resorts represented.  And we're celebrating this accomplishment with a contest!

We're pleased to announce that DVCNews.com is now streamlined for display on many mobile devices!  Content from both the main news site and the discussion forums will display in a slimmed-down format with increased compatibility with WIndows Mobile Smartphones, Blackberrys and other mobile devices.

Recently Disney Vacation Club has begun polling members regarding their interest in a variety of resort destinations away from the Disney theme parks.  DVCNews joined in the fun by posting our own (unscientific) poll.  With nearly 700 votes cast, here are the results.

We are proud to announce that our Guest Room Database for Disney's Old Key West resort is now on-line.  The Old Key West database joins Disney's Beach Club Villas, BoardWalk Villas, Saratoga Springs and Wilderness Lodge, giving DVC resort guests unparallelled information regarding their resort of choice.
