Disney Vacation Club members who value their pool time may want to avoid one resort in the early months of 2022.
Disney is not known for releasing resort refurbishment dates far in advance. As such, members may be pleasantly surprised--or disappointed, depending on their 2022 vacation plans--to learn of one upcoming closure.
Samawati Springs Pool at Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani Village is scheduled to close for refurbishment from January to April 2022. Although not explicitly stated, the closure appears to apply to both the feature pool and neighboring kids' water play area.
During the closure, Kidani Village guests will be able to utilize the Uzima Pool over at Jambo House. DVC owners are also eligible to "pool hop" to a variety of other Disney resorts during non-blackout periods.
Disney warns that construction noise may be present during the refurbishment. This would most directly impact Standard View rooms which overlook the pool. Work will be performed daily from 9:00am to dusk.
Most of the guest rooms at Jambo House remain closed, with only the DVC villas on the fifth and sixth floors currently hosting guests. Disney has not announced any future reopening date for the hotel rooms at Jambo House.
