The table service venue located at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort will soon return after being closed for a 2 1/2 month refurbishment.
The Polynesian's Kona Cafe is officially scheduled to reopen on November 1st. Several weeks ago Disney resumed accepting dining reservations for November 1 forward, however confirmation of the restaurant re-opening date was slower to arrive.
Diners can expect updated decor and a revised menu with the cafe reopens. Many favorites will return including the popular Tonga Toast, Big Kahuna Burger and Seafood Pu Pu Platter. The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Menus can be found on Kona Cafe's official website. Dining reservations are currently available, subject to the normal 60 day guidelines.
In other dining news, Walt Disney World revealed that Tusker House at Disney's Animal Kingdom will return to buffet service beginning November 1. And EPCOT's Akershus Royal Banquet Hall will finally reopen as of November 4, 2022.
