Hotel and Disney Vacation Club availabilty suggests Disney hopes they will be able to open more California facilities around the beginning of next month.
The Disneyland theme parks and resort hotels are currently closed with no estimate for reopening. The DVC member website is currently showing no availability in the month of August, with September 1, 2020 the first date available to book in some villa types.
Plans previously called for Disneyland and Disney California Adventure to reopen on July 17 with Disney's Grand Californian Hotel and Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel to follow on July 23. However, local and state health authorities refused to offer guidance on reopening these facilities, forcing an indefinite delay.
Downtown Disney shopping district reopening as planned on July 9. However a surge in COVID-19 infections has delayed many planned reopenings throughout the state.
Members can currently book available date September 1 and forward, but questions about the resort's reopening will persist until governmental approval is given.
