Disney Vacation Development continues to add more units at Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas (Kidani Village) to support ongoing sales.  Today the Orange County Comptroller's office filed the Fifteenth Amendment to the AKV Condo Association, adding what is described as Phases 80 through 88 to the timeshare.

A story was recently posted to DVCMember.com regarding new animal species being added to the savanna surrounding Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas.  The report also sheds some light on the timeframe in which we can expect construction work at the resort to be nearing completion.

Some impressive overhead images of the construction work at Disney's Animal Kingom Villas have appeared on-line.  The images were taken in late June and depict construction work at the Kidani Village facility.

Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge was named "Best theme park hotel" for 2008 by website Theme Park Insider.  The award was given for the highest average reader reviews over the 12-month period ending May 31, 2008. 

Animal Kingdom Lodge previously won this award in 2005 and 2006.

Allearsnet.com has a report on upcoming changes to the Bush Camp experience at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge and Villas.  Effective July 1, 2008, the program is being shortened from 3 hours to 2 hours.  The cost is also being reduced from its current $70 to just $30 (with $10 being donated to the Wildlife Conservation Fund.)  An additional 10% discount is currently offered to DVC members.
