More Changes to DME Luggage Policies

WDW Transportation News
In recent weeks Disney has been forced to alter its luggage handling processes for Disney's Magical Express due to policy changes enacted by the participating airlines.  Initial information suggested that Disney would only accept the number of bags designated as "free" by certain airlines.  Now it appears they have taken steps to make the changes a little more palatable for travelers.

Effective June 1, 2008 the following policies are in force:

  • Guests traveling on AirTran, Continental, Delta, JetBlue, Northwest and US Airways may check one bag per passenger at their departing Disney resort.  Guests may check additional bags if they contact Baggage Airline Guest Services at 407-284-1231 and make arrangements to pay the additional fees imposed by the airline.
  • All guests flying on American Airlines who wish to check bags must call Baggage Airline Guest Services to pay for their luggage.
