Price increases looming?

Financial News & Pricing

It appears that Disney Vacation Club is poised to raise sales prices for at least two of its current resort offerings.

Multiple sources claim that DVC is preparing to raise the base price of points at Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas and Villas at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel to $120 per point.  The date currently being targeted for the increase is July 1, 2010.  This increase represents and additional $8 per point over the current rate of $112.

No word on how discount incentives may be impacted by such an increase.  Several current incentive packages including the free Disney Cruise Line voyage and American Airlines gift card are scheduled to end on June 30, 2010.

Disney Vacation Club is also expected to begin sales of its Aulani resort in Hawai'i sometime this summer.  Aulani sales prices are currently unknown.  The first phase of the resort is scheduled to open in the fall of 2011.
