Grand Floridian, Riviera Direct Pricing Improves Via Early-Summer 2022 Incentives

From June 2 through July 13, 2022, Disney Vacation Club is offering an Addiitonal Incentive Credit for both first-time buyers and existing members adding-on. Most noteworthy are the new buyer rates for Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. This limited-time incentive more than doubles the savings at most purchase levels, resulting in lower prices than when resort sales launched on March 31, 2022.  

Let's begin with pricing for new DVC members:

At 200 points, the $9 per point discount available through July 13 is a marked improvement over the $4 savings when sales reopened to new buyers earlier this year. A minimum purchase of 150 points was not previously eligible for any discounts, however buyers are currently able to save $3 off the base rate of $207 per point. 

Savings are also available for Disney's Riviera Resort and Aulani, Disney Vacation Club Villas. For the June 2 - July 13 period, incentives have generally improved at Riviera and slightly worsened for Aulani. 

 Similar patterns can be found in add-on pricing for current members. While net prices are not quite as low as the Grand Floridian debut rates offered for 4 weeks in March, they are an improvement over the more modest incentives provided throughout April and May. 

 Over the next 6 weeks, Riviera net pricing dips all the way into the $160s for add-ons of 300 or more points. 

 Bucking recent trends, Disney Vacation Club is not offering any incentives for older "sold out" properties. In recent month, DVC offered discounts of $5-18 per point on resorts like Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort and Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. In light of the incentive increases for Riviera and Grand Floridian, recent buyers may be able eligible to have their purchase updated to the lower rates. Timeshare purchases include a right of rescission period during which the buyer may cancel the contract with no penalties. Buyers who are still within their rescission period or who have not finalized the contracts should reach out to their DVC sales representative to inquire about price adjustments.
