Disney Vacation Club brings back a familar promotion, offering free points for the life of the contract with a purchase of Disney's Riviera Resort, Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort or Aulani, Disney Vacation Club Villas.
Purchases at three Disney Vacation Club resorts now feature a developer's discount as well as a free set of points for the life of the contract at most purchase levels. The amount of the developer's discount does not vary across the stated point range. As detailed in the chart below, any number of points purchased between 150 - 199 will yield a flat $1500 discount for first time buyers. Only at the 200 point level does it increase to a flat $2000 off. At best, the discount amounts to about $10 off per point, which is a respectable discount for an initial purchase of just 150 points.
Current members do even better when adding on at the Grand Floridian with the $2500 incentive for 150 points equal to a discount of more than $16 each.
All buyers will also receive the stated number of free points for the life of the contract. A purchase of 150 points will actually be calculated on the basis of 145 points x $217 per point with the 5 "free" points added at no cost. The owner will receive those extra points for the entire life of the contract.

A similar free points offer is also available for Disney's Riviera Resort, although the developer's incentive is not quite as appealing as Grand Floridian. At Riviera, the discount is generally around $7 per point with some purchase levels dipping as low as $2.50 per point for first time buyers. Current members make out a little better with with a discount of $10 per point at 150 and peaking at $11.25 per point for a 200-point add on.

Those seeking a Hawaiian getaway may consider Aulani. Aulani also qualifies for the free points. At just 150 points, the developer's discount represents more than $16 per point off the $217 retail price for first time owners and $23 off for current members adding-on.

Similar developer's incentives exist for Disney's Old Key West Resort, however no free points are being offered. However the discounts are substantial, rising as high as $32-34 per point off the standard price of $205 each.

Both are offering an identical developer's credit off of the base prices of $275 per point for Bay Lake and $250 each for Copper Creek.
