New Halloween-themed "Boo Bash" offers modest savings and early booking for Disney Vacation Club members.

Disney After Hours Boo Bash

Frequent fall visitors to Walt Disney World are no doubt familiar with Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. For 2021, Disney decided to shake things up a bit with an updated event dubbed "Disney After Hours Boo Bash." The concept is similar: exclusive hours in the Magic Kingdom combined with pop-up parades, unique character meet-and-greet opportunities, complimentary snacks and "magical and spooky shots" via Disney PhotoPass.

The event is scheduled for 23 nights from August 10 through October 31, 2021. The exclusive hours run from 9:00pm to midnight on most nights, with some August and September nights planned for 9:30pm to 12:30am.

The complete list of dates is as follows:

  • August 10, 17, 20, 24, 27 and 31
  • September 3, 7, 10, 14, 17, 21, 24
  • October 5, 8, 12, 15, 19, 22, 24, 26, 29, 31

Tickets are priced at $129 - 139 (plus tax) for August and September nights, $159 - 169 for October and $199 for Halloween night. Disney Vacation Club members save $10 off the regular cost for August and September events.

These rates are a substantial increase over Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party which dipped as low as $80 per person with the DVC discount for the nights planned in the fall of 2020. For 2021, the lowest priced admission is now $119 after the DVC discount, an increase of nearly 50%.

Also noteworthy is a change in policy for the party entry time. Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party typically allowed guests to enter the park with their party admission anytime after 4:00pm. Disney Vacation Club members benefitted from an added perk in recent years, granting admission as early as 2:00pm using only the event ticket.

For 2021, those attending Disney After Hours Boo Bash will not be eligible to enter the Magic Kingdom until 7:00pm using their event pass.

Disney resort hotel guests--including Disney Vacation Club members--can purchase tickets beginning on June 8. Sales open to the general public on June 15. To purchase, contact DVC Member Services or visit the Disney ticketing website
