Disney Vacation Club seems to be making greater effort to engage members through on-site promotional giveaways.
Back in February, Disney Vacation Club MagicBand sliders made their return to Walt Disney World. Members stopping by any of the sales kiosks could ask for a pair of the plastic baubles to display pride in their DVC ownership.
The sliders proved popular and quickly became difficult to find. However, these Disney Vacation Club slap bracelets soon followed as a new free giveaway. Slap bracelets are thin metal bands which are initially flattened as depicted above. "Slapping" the band on one's wrist causes it to curve and form a bracelet. These bracelets are covered by a plastic sheath imprinted with "Disney Vacation Club Member" with images of Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse.
Other complimentary items recently spotted include magnets and coasters. Availability may vary; there is no word on whether Disney plans to restock the MagicBand Sliders, slap bracelets or other items as the supply is exhausted.
Stop by any DVC information booth at a resort or theme park to inquire. A photo ID or other proof of DVC ownership is typically required.
