One Disney Vacation Club resort restaurant has a reopening date and another will soon offer expanded hours.
Disney has announced plans to reopen Cape May Cafe at Disney's Beach Club Resort effective May 18, 2021. The restaurant will offer breakfast and dinner, however meals will be served family style rather than the previous buffet presentation. Breakfast offerings include omeletes and Mickey & Minnie waffles, while dinner features a seafood boil, steak, chicken and lobster mac & cheese.
Characters appearances are not planned for Cape May Cafe at this time.
Meanwhile, Chef Mickey's at Disney's Contemporary Resort will expand its operating hours to include dinner beginning May 16. Socially-distanced encounters with Mickey Mouse and friends will be offered along with entrees like prime rib, roasted turkey and salmon.
Reservations will be available for both locations beginning May 7.
Disney has also revealed that Tusker House at Disney's Animal Kingdom will reopen sometime this summer. Characters will be present, but other details are unavilable at this time.
