The pool slide at Disney's Yacht and Beach Club Resorts will close in February 2021 for refurbishment.
Disney has revealed plans to begin refurbishment on the Stormalong Bay pool slide. The slide will close sometime this month. The exact closure date has not been revealed, nor any estimated reopening timeframe.
During the slide closure, other features of Stormalong Bay will remain open. The leisure pool at Disney's Beach Club Villas is also open.
Disney Vacation Club members and their guests are eligible to pool hop to a variety of locations including the Luna Park feature pool at nearby Disney's BoardWalk Villas.
The cooler winter months are a popular time for maintenance work at the Walt Disney World pools. The kids play area at Disney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows is closed for updates. Earlier this week, Disney announced that Samawati Springs at Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani Village will close for up to 4 months in early 2022.
