On the heels of last week’s L.A. Times article espousing the future of DVC at Disneyland Resort comes a contradictory piece from website LaughingPlace.com:
An article appearing in this week’s Los Angeles Times attempts to shed some light on The Walt Disney Company’s plans for further expansion on the left coast…assuming it can get its way with Anaheim lawmakers. Quoting Disney website author Jim Hill, the article touts Disney’s dreams of “…changing Anaheim into Orlando—making this into a national and international tourist space.”
West-coast DVCers will be disappointed to hear that rumors of a Vacation Club facility at Disney’s Grand Californian Resort did not pan out. Despite information printed by MiceAge.com’s Al Lutz earlier this month, last week’s slew of announcements made no mention of any forthcoming additions to the flagship Disneyland Resort property.
Every year Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort play host to several major press events. Hundreds of members of the broadcast and print media will descend on the theme parks as Disney displays its most recent contributions to the theme park business.
