A 6-year-old girl was injured when she apparently fell from a balcony at the Kidani Village building of Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas.
CBS Miami reports that the girl fell from a third floor balcony on to the resort savanna. The child's father was showering at the time and did not witness the accident. Upon hearing the girl's screams, the father ran to her aid.
Resort officials claim that the child fell into an area of the savanna which is not accessible to the free-roaming animals.
The girl is reportedly in stable condition after being airlifted to an area hospital. There is no word on a specific cause for the accident.
