Disney Fort Wilderness Meadow Pool Updates 2024 April

Work is under way to replace more than 360 free-standing cabins at Ft Wilderness as they are set to be folded into the Disney Vacation Club timeshare program. Additionally, Disney has submitted documentation which shows changes coming to the area surrounding the resort's Meadow Swimmin' Pool

The image above showcases the work site, which currently consists of the pool, Meadow Snack Bar, tennis courts and sand volleyball courts. The overlay shows the new structure set to be added, outlined in blue. The building will sit on the current location of the volleyball court. Also slated for addition is a dry retention pond, displayed in green to the southeast of the new building.

There is no indication as to the purpose of this new building, nor a timeline for its completion.

Upon announcing that the Fort Wilderness cabins would be converted to Disney Vacation Club units, Disney promised unspecified modifications elsewhere at the resort. So far no specifics have been mentioned.

The Meadow Swimmin' Pool is located some distance from the cabins. The Wilderness Swimmin' Pool is located in the heart of the cabin development (above blue). This leisure pool facility also includes a hot tub, restrooms and laundry facilities.
