Recent aerial images show how the path which connects Disney's Polynesian Village Resort to Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa has been modified to accommodate construction of the new Disney Vacation Club building.

Ground clearing work continues for the new multi-story DVC tower located on the grounds of the Polynesian Resort. In order to make way for the new building, the Polynesian's Luau Cove was demolished earlier this year. More recently, the walking path which connects the resort to nearby Disney's Wedding Pavilion and the Grand Floridian has also been blocked off for removal. Twitter user @bioreconstruct highlights the demolition in the image below.

An updated path will be installed to connect Polynesian to Grand Floridian. However layout of the new DVC building necessitates updates to the interior pathways.

During construction, a temporary pathway has been installed on the southern side of the construction site. In the image above, numbers 1, 2 and 3 show the location of the path which begins near the Aotearoa building, crosses over Floridian Way, and connects to the Grand Floridian self-parking lot.

Construction on the new DVC tower is expected to be completed some time in 2024.
