Our latest look at progress on the new Disney Vacation Club tower at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort examines the structure from several new perspectives.
The full front side of the tower is visible above and below. Running along Floridian Way, the building follows the path of the the Walt Disney World monorail as it travels between the Polynesian and Disney's Grand Floridian Resort. This side of the building will eventually serve as an arrival point for guests with a new Porte cochere and parking lot.
If nothing else, the tower should provide guests with some spectacular views. One side of the building faces the Seven Seas Lagoon and Magic Kingdom. Guests on the other side can spend the day watching the iconic monorail trains glide by.
A closer look at the upper floors including the unique roof above what appears to be a grand villa.
On the lake side, more painting has taken place since our last update. Other finishes will be added to the building exterior, as well as landscaping, over time.
Finally a look below at the tower as it sits nestled behind Disney's Wedding Pavilion, as viewed from the nearby Grand Floridian.
Disney Vacation Club executives recently confirmed that the tower will be part of the existing condo association of Disney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows, giving both current and future owners 11-month booking rights to the current Deluxe Studios and Bungalows, along with the new tower. The tower is expected to open sometime in late 2024.
