Directional signs have been updated, offering new routes for guests headed to Disney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows.
As part of ongoing road construction, Walt Disney World has posted new approach routes for guests arriving at the Polynesian Resort and Island Tower. When arriving via North World Drive heading toward the Magic Kingdom parking lot, vehicles heading toward the main Polynesian Resort and Great Ceremonial House are directed to the keep right, taking a familiar route up World Drive and onto Seven Seas Drive.
Meanwhile, guests headed toward the new Disney Vacation Club building Island Tower are directed to the left, up Floridian Way toward Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. Island Tower guests will not only park just outside the building, but will also check-in at Island Tower.
The map below illustrates the approximate routes, with the blue line showing the traffic flow to the main resort while the red path is to be followed by Island Tower guests.

These changes are being made to accommodate continued construction work in the area. Specifically, a roundabout is currently being installed at the intersection of Seven Seas Drive and Floridian Way, temporarily disrupting the normal traffic flow. Other recent changes include a reconfiguration of the approach to the main Polynesian parking lot. A new guest entry opened earlier this year, and updated theme parks bus stops are expected to debut at any time.
Other planned changes to the area include a merging of the parking lots at the Grand Floridian, Disney's Wedding Pavilion and Island Tower, creating additional vehicle capacity.
