The Disney Parks Blog has shared a closer look at the Steamboat Willie-themed splash pad coming to The Villas at Disneyland Hotel.
Adjacent to the resort's new Palette Pool is a splash pad featuring Mickey Mouse as Steamboat Willie. The video below highlights some of the fountains, waterfalls and even a mist rising from the smoke stack which make up this kid-friendly feature. The splash pad will also feature its own unique lighting effects:
And the Disney magic continues long after the sun sets on the Palette Pool. Families can watch their technicolor dreams come true as the Steamboat Willie splash pad transforms from black and white to vivid colors with the help of some artistic lighting.
The new Palette Pool is being constructed on the western side of the new Disney Vacation Club tower, separate from the resort's D-Ticket, E-Ticket and Monorail Pools. Click below for a brief video preview:
Nearby guests will find the new Palm Breeze Bar, an open air venue which features the artwork of Disney Legend Mary Blair.
