Nearly a year after its Disney Vacation Club villas reopened, hotel guests will return to Jambo House in August.
Hotel rooms at Jambo House of Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge and Villas will reopen to guests on August 26, 2021.
The resort's DVC villas--along with those a neighboring Kidani Village--have been available since June 2020 when Walt Disney World resumed operations following the spring 2020 COVID-19 shutdown. However, more than 1000 hotel rooms at Jambo House remained closed due to lack of guest demand and limited capacity at Disney theme parks.
No update has been provided regarding the status of restaurants Boma or Jiko - The Cooking Place. Quick Service dining venue The Mara is currently available during breakfast and dinner hours.
Also unknown is the status of the resort's 6th floor concierge lounge. While the club level villas are open to DVC owners, the lounge itself has remained closed. Earlier this month, Disney provided an operational update with reopening dates for many resorts' concierge facilities. Jambo House was not included on that list.
