The Skyway Bridge located at Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort will be closed during daytime hours throughout the month of April.
From March 30 through May 1, 2026, the elevated walkway connecting Bay Lake Tower to the A-frame Conemporary Resort will be closed for maintenace. The closure is planned for Monday through Friday during the hours of 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. The bridge will reopen daily after 5 pm and be available all day on weekends.
During the closure, alternate travel routes will be posted. Guests will have to proceed to ground level to move between the two buildings.
This is one of several projects taking place at the Contemporary throughout 2026. Bay Lake Tower's Bay Cove pool, including the nearby spa, splash pad and bar, are currently closed for refurbishment. The pool facilities are scheduled to reopen in May. Exterior refurbishment is also currently taking place around the property.
All Disney Vacation Club guest rooms at Bay Lake Tower were refurbished in a project that ran from September 2024 to September 2025. Work has also been completed on the Bay Lake Tower lobby and Community Hall.
