Current Disney Vacation Club owners can now purchase an ownership interest in The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort. While the nightly costs to stay in a cabin are surprisingly economical, the initial buy-in price and annual dues may be a turn-off to some.
On February 1, 2024, Disney Vacation Club officially launches sales for The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort. Only current members are eligible to purchase at this juncture, with sales opening to first-time buyers on February 27.
Points for the Cabins are priced at $225 each, the same rate as Disney's Riviera Resort and Aulani, Disney Vacation Club Villas. Some promotional incentives are offered. However, DVC is clearly not appealing to buyers with low initial pricing as the incentives will save buyers just $2 per point for an add-on of 100 vacation points and $10 off the purchase of 150 points.

These incentives are notably worse than recently-launched promotions for both Riviera and Aulani, which save members $8 per point on a 100-point add-on and $11-17 off 150+ points. Buyers can take advantage of Magical Beginnings, which offers a refund of $20 per point in exchange for trading-in the first year's set of points. Pricing is set to run through April 1, 2024.
Addiitonally, Annual dues for the Cabins are priced at $12.16 per point beginning in 2024. This makes the Cabins the 2nd most expensive destination, behind only Disney's Vero Beach Resort.
Fortunately, the nightly costs to stay in a Cabin are quite economical, costing less than every One Bedroom villa in the Disney Vacation Club system and also lower than many Deluxe Studio options.
