A model room for the new Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort is available for tours by current and prospective Disney Vacation Club owners.
More than 360 cabins on the grounds of Fort Wilderness are in the process of being replaced and will eventually be rolled into the DVC timeshare program. Interested buyers can now schedule a time and date to take a look at one of the updated cabins.
The model is located at Fort Wilderness near the Settlement Depot. Due to the sprawling nature of Fort Wilderness, it can be somewhat difficult to reach. Parking is available near the entry to Fort Wilderness. However guests must then use the internal bus system for a 5-10 minute ride to the Settlement Depot. Another option would be to use the Fort Wilderness boats which run between the resort, Disney's Wilderness Lodge and Magic Kingdom.
Upon arrival, visitors should check in at the Disney Vacation Club sales podium across from Trail's End Restaurant. Cast Members will assist with the tour itself. Two cabins are situated near the Settlement Depot, however only one is being used for active tours while the other serves as a remote sales office. The model is identical to the cabins being installed throughout resort grounds, right down to the attached deck.
Note that these tours are available by appointment only. Guests should make arrangements with their Disney Vacation Club sales representative in advance.
Cabins throughout Fort Wilderness are being replaced in waves. Approximately 63 units in Loop 2300 and Loop 2500 were scheduled to be updated by the end of July. Other areas will continue to come online through spring 2025. Only a portion of the cabins are currently available to be booked using DVC points. The remainder are open to cash guests, but will be added to the timeshare program in the coming years as sales continue.
