Guest room refurbishment work is set to begin at Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney's Wilderness Lodge in late April 2024.
Walt Disney World has revealed that plans to begin refurbishment at Copper Creek Villas & Cabins on April 29, 2024. The update specifically cites work to the Cascade Cabins, stating:
Copper Creek Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge will be refurbished beginning April 29, 2024. The cabins will be refurbished four at a time, with the remaining cabins available to Members and Guests. While this project is taking place, Guests staying in cabins adjacent to those being refurbished will see and hear refurbishment work during daytime hours. This refurbishment is expected to be completed in late summer 2024.
The timing marks 7 years since Copper Creek debuted on July 17, 2017, the anniversary of Disneyland's opening in July 1955. Disney Vacation Club's current refurbishment schedule calls for a lighter "refresh" of villa interiors at the 7 year mark, followed by a more thorough renovation after 14 years. Guests should expect updates to carpet and other flooring, wall coverings, upholstry and other furnishings during the refurbishment.
Although this notice does not specifically address Copper Creek Deluxe Studio, One Bedroom, Two Bedroom and Grand Villa accommodations, those rooms are similarly due for a refresh. Guests may wish to take this into account when planning their travel for 2024. Disney Vacation Club should plan ahead to accommodate any refurbishment, removing rooms from member inventory to avoid overbooking. However, guests may see and hear refurbishment work around the resort as it occurs.
Villas at nearby Boulder Ridge were fully renovated during a project which wrapped-up in early 2023. Refurbishments at Disney's Beach Club Villas and Disney's BoardWalk Villas are planned for 2023, with Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort scheduled to be refurbished some time in 2024.
